Parental Guidence: This Film Undermines a Child's Acceptance of Reality; Discourages Rationality

The Associated Press published some good news today. The Motion Picture Association of America is using its film rating system to warn viewers and parents of the existence - in a movie - of religious content:

But after the Motion Picture Association of America rated the film, [Reverend Alex Kendrick, who directed and stars in "Facing the Giants"] says he was told that it got the 'Parental Guidance' rating for being so openly religious. Kendrick says he's never heard of that criteria before and suggests it shows how much times have changed.
Fearing that such warnings might discourage the consumption of addictive, mind-numbing, anti-rational, anti-reality intellectual poison, religion traffickers have issued a response. The Christian Newswire put out a press release saying that Reverend Rob Schenck, president of the National Clergy Council, is "available for comment" on this, his written response:

This is what we have feared and warned about for years. There are forces in our culture using the arts and entertainment to marginalize people of faith and even vilify them. Abusing the film rating system is just the newest weapon in the anti-religion arsenal.
Yes it is, and that's a good thing. He continues:

To say that children can't see a film because of its religious content is more serious in its symbolism than it is in reality.
Yes, and that's precisely why the Revenend is frothing at the mouth: he cares very little about reality.

No matter how they cut it, it says 'religion can be harmful to young children.' Nothing is farther from the truth.
Nothing could be further from the truth?:

Religious Children

The "good" Reverend continues:
Research shows that children engaged in regular religious activity, particularly church activities, do far better in every way than children who are not.
Well, just one look at a photo like the one I've posted above tells me that children engaged in religious activity "do far better" at things like blowing up themselves and others.

"This is an outrage, an insult to all people who take their faith seriously, and to religious leaders and institutions. This cannot be allowed to go unchallenged."
I'll take that as a warning. So should anyone else who values freedom.
